Description

  • Introduce Square to SMB merchants in Australia and generate interest in the platform.
  • Manage the sales cycle from prospecting through close and support successful onboarding with partner teams.
  • Close inbound leads and generate new opportunities through cold calling, older marketing leads, and referrals.
  • Maintain high sales activity and consistently meet call volume, pipeline, and quarterly sales targets.
  • Use a consultative approach to understand customer goals and pain points.
  • Tailor pitches and demos based on discovery insights and buyer needs.
  • Partner with Onboarding, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing teams to align solutions with market needs.
  • Use prior sales experience to inform and execute a creative go-to-market strategy.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in a closing sales role.
  • Experience or interest in supporting SMB sellers.
  • Experience exceeding sales targets.
  • A growth mindset and willingness to continuously learn and improve.
  • A structured thought process with the ability to assess business opportunities and read prospective buyers.
  • Ability to gather support from internal experts and external partners to position Square against competitors.
  • Genuine curiosity about people and business.
  • Openness to feedback and commitment to improving your craft.
  • Tenacity, adaptability, and the ability to think on your feet.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills across email, phone, Google Meet, and social channels.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to work across multiple time zones and outside normal business hours when required.
