Description

  • Collect field data to support project completion across ALTA, boundary, construction staking, and topographic surveys.
  • Locate boundaries, pins, improvements, utilities, and other site features in the field.
  • Check, reduce, and file raw field data and perform related calculations.
  • Conduct project research as needed to support field operations.
  • Follow instructions and work orders from project managers.
  • Communicate daily with the Field Project Manager regarding schedule status and progress.
  • Maintain survey equipment and troubleshoot field issues.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Complete projects safely and efficiently while meeting schedules and budgets.
  • Work in rugged terrain and a wide range of weather conditions, including overtime, weekends, and frequent regional or national travel.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief.
  • Strong understanding of surveying concepts and practices.
  • Proficiency with survey equipment including total stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.
  • Part 107 license preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with CAD software, especially Carlson AutoCAD, is a plus but not required.
