Description

  • Embed with a product engineering team as the primary Software Operations partner to improve build, test, and delivery workflows.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve build pipelines, CI workflows, and supporting tooling.
  • Work closely with product development teams to apply policies and guidelines in continuous integration and delivery systems.
  • Reduce developer iteration time by improving build performance, test reliability, and CI feedback loops.
  • Debug and resolve complex build, test, and CI failures using root-cause analysis.
  • Influence technical direction through collaboration, technical credibility, and understanding of team constraints.
  • Promote best practices in build hygiene, CI/CD design, dependency management, and scalable development workflows.
  • Apply software design patterns and architectural principles to create maintainable CI systems and build abstractions.
  • Coach and mentor product engineers on build and CI topics and tradeoff decisions.
  • Represent the Software Operations organization as a bridge between platform capabilities and product needs.

Requirements

  • BS in computer science or a related engineering field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience.
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Makefile, CMake, Conan, Bazel, or similar tools.
  • Strong proficiency with continuous integration/delivery systems such as GitHub Actions, ADO, or TeamCity.
  • Strong understanding of C++ or another compiled language, Linux, and CMake.
  • Strong knowledge of APIs, web services, and identity access management.
  • Strong knowledge of containers such as Docker or Podman.
  • Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
  • Strong knowledge of Git.
  • Strong Linux system administration experience, with Windows experience as a bonus.
  • Preferred: strong experience with Conan Package Manager.
  • Preferred: experience with Rust in a production environment.
  • Preferred: experience with Hardware in the Loop build/deploy/test systems.
  • Preferred: experience owning build infrastructure.
  • Preferred: experience with NVIDIA Jetson products.
  • Strong desire to learn and grow on the job.

Benefits

  • $120,000 - $180,000 annual salary.
  • Full-time regular employee package includes bonus, benefits, and equity.
  • Temporary employee package includes pay within the listed range plus a temporary benefits package after 60 days of employment.
  • Opportunity to work remotely.
