Description

  • Own end-to-end delivery of core content, social, live streaming, audio room, and interactive commerce features.
  • Lead the overall technical architecture and engineering foundation across mobile, web, server-side, and admin systems.
  • Drive integration of live streaming ingest/playback and establish scalable, evolvable, and operable platform practices.
  • Define cross-platform UX and interaction standards and improve key experience metrics through data and experimentation.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Operations to iterate on A/V sync, stream startup, latency, interaction delivery, and conversion metrics.
  • Define integration strategy, capability boundaries, versioning, and change management for third-party audio/video vendors.
  • Build reliability and observability systems, including SLI/SLO/SLA, monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, and chaos/fault drills.
  • Lead incident response, postmortems, on-call operations, and continuous improvement for streaming and interaction failures.
  • Recruit, manage, and develop the engineering team across client, frontend, backend, QA, and ops functions.
  • Establish R&D processes and quality gates such as release management, canarying, rollback, code review, and automated testing.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in internet, content, social, or live streaming product development.
  • 3+ years of technical team management experience.
  • Proven experience driving products or platforms from 0 to 1 or from 1 to N.
  • Deep familiarity with live and real-time interactive systems, including low-latency pipelines, network jitter, concurrency spikes, room state consistency, interactive messaging, and gift billing.
  • Cross-platform and full-stack system design experience across iOS, Android, web, server-side, distributed systems, messaging, caching, and feed or recommendation systems.
  • Ability to translate business goals into technical plans and milestones with a strong product-minded engineering approach.
  • Experience implementing reliability practices such as SLI/SLO, monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, incident response, and postmortems.
  • Strong communication and execution skills for driving decisions across multiple teams, priorities, and external partners.
  • Experience with large-scale social or live streaming core pipelines, including room systems and live-commerce or transaction conversion, preferred.
  • Experience with internationalization, cross-region operations, and compliance or risk controls such as content safety, transaction security, and anti-cheat, preferred.
  • Ability to make quantitative trade-offs between experience, reliability, and cost to optimize unit economics, preferred.
  • Industry influence or ecosystem resources in the live streaming, social, or real-time interaction space, preferred.
