Description

  • Design address clustering algorithms for UTXO chains with near 100% accuracy.
  • Develop Common-Spend clustering, EVM clustering, and multi-layer blockchain unification.
  • Build cross-chain entity linking systems to track fund flows across blockchains.
  • Build and optimize risk scoring models to assess address and entity risk levels.
  • Develop address evidence quality models with full audit trails.
  • Create behavioral attribution models to classify unknown addresses.
  • Implement change address prediction and anomaly detection algorithms.
  • Design heuristic algorithms to identify legitimate services such as exchanges, wallets, and DeFi protocols.
  • Develop detection systems for illicit activities including mixers, scams, and fraud contracts.
  • Build hot/cold wallet distinction and address rotation pattern recognition.
  • Monitor algorithm performance and maintain a false positive rate below 1%.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement algorithm improvements.
  • Design A/B testing frameworks and establish performance benchmarks.
  • Ensure algorithm explainability and auditability.
  • Adapt algorithms for new blockchains and protocol updates.
  • Research graph neural networks for risk propagation.
  • Publish technical papers and contribute to the blockchain analytics community.

Requirements

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in algorithm development, machine learning, or data science.
  • 3+ years of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency analytics experience preferred.
  • Track record of deploying algorithms in production environments.
  • Expert-level Python programming skills.
  • Proficiency in Scala or Java for big data workloads.
  • Advanced SQL experience with Hive, Spark, or Trino.
  • Experience with graph databases such as Neo4j.
  • Strong machine learning foundation with experience in scikit-learn, XGBoost, or PyTorch.
  • Solid understanding of graph algorithms including graph theory, community detection, and PageRank; GNN experience preferred.
  • Experience with Spark, distributed computing, and stream processing.
  • Knowledge of blockchain concepts including UTXO vs. account models, smart contracts, and cross-chain bridges.
  • Strong background in statistics, probability, linear algebra, and optimization.
  • Published research in blockchain analytics, graph algorithms, or machine learning preferred.
  • Contributions to open-source blockchain analytics projects preferred.
  • Experience with Graph Neural Networks or deep learning on graphs preferred.
  • Knowledge of financial crime patterns and AML/KYC compliance preferred.
  • Familiarity with privacy-enhancing technologies preferred.
