Description

Perform end-to-end model validations, including conceptual soundness, data integrity, and mathematical accuracy reviews.
Develop challenger models and conduct sensitivity testing, back-testing, and stress testing to assess model limitations.
Ensure models comply with internal model risk management policies and governance standards.
Support model governance by maintaining an accurate model inventory.
Author technical validation reports with findings, risks, and recommendations for leadership.
Review ongoing model performance monitoring to identify decay and confirm models remain fit for purpose.
Communicate complex quantitative results clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

This role is not eligible for employer-provided immigration sponsorship; candidates must have valid U.S. work authorization now and in the future.
Master's or PhD in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, or Economics.
2–5 years of experience in model development or validation within financial services.
Proficiency in Python and R, with advanced SQL skills for data analysis.
Strong understanding of statistical modeling techniques, machine learning/AI, and financial regulations.
Ability to translate complex quantitative concepts into clear, non-technical language for diverse stakeholders.
Experience conducting challenger analyses, back-testing, sensitivity testing, or stress testing (preferred).
Experience with model risk management or model governance processes (preferred).
