Description

  • Set and drive technical direction and architecture for the NHI Governance domain and its shared platform integrations.
  • Own the most complex, high-risk, cross-cutting technical initiatives from problem framing through delivery.
  • Define standards, interfaces, and contracts used across multiple teams and products, and drive their adoption.
  • Partner with product, design, and engineering leaders to align technical strategy with business goals.
  • Mentor staff and senior engineers while raising the technical bar across the organization.
  • Lead design reviews and make build-versus-buy and architectural trade-off decisions.
  • Drive quality, security, observability, and performance as core concerns across the domain.
  • Resolve ambiguity at large scope by framing, sequencing, and solving the right problems.
  • Lead the server-side loop for discovering, assessing, and remediating non-human identities across cloud and on-prem environments.

Requirements

  • Deep experience architecting and delivering large-scale, distributed, cloud-native systems.
  • Expert programming skills in C#, Go, TypeScript, Java, or similar modern languages.
  • Strong API and distributed-systems design expertise.
  • Hands-on experience with Claude Code or comparable agentic AI coding tools.
  • Track record of owning architecture and technical direction across multiple teams or an entire domain.
  • Strong AWS expertise, including compute such as EKS, networking, IAM, managed data stores, scaling, reliability, and cost trade-offs.
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience designing multi-tenant shared services consumed by other engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with data modeling, exploration, and visualization at scale.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills across technical and leadership audiences.
  • Deep identity security experience with IAM, NHI/secrets, cloud IAM such as AWS IAM or Microsoft Entra ID, and OAuth/OIDC (preferred).
  • Experience with graph databases, graph data modeling, and analytics at scale (preferred).
  • Experience taking new platform-native modules from 0 to 1 at enterprise scale (preferred).
