Description

Design, build, and maintain complex distributed backend systems with focus on low latency, fault tolerance, scalability, and self-healing behavior.
Develop and maintain APIs, databases, and libraries required by projects.
Apply custom algorithm design and engineering to solve specialized problems where needed.
Take ownership of problems and guide solutions from design through delivery to achieve intended impact.
Manage workload independently, make technical decisions, and deliver work without constant guidance.
Collaborate with clients, project teams, and company colleagues on multi-year and one-off projects.
Participate in selecting suitable projects and shaping your path within the company.
Contribute to company policies and decision-making through Sociocracy 3.0 and co-creation processes.
Track and report time using the company’s time-management tool as part of flexible working arrangements.

Requirements

5+ years of programming experience, including at least 1 year working with Python.
Proven ability to solve complex problems and produce functional, efficient, well-designed code.
Experience or interest in building low-latency, fault-tolerant, and highly scalable distributed systems, APIs, databases, libraries, or custom algorithms.
Demonstrated responsibility and ownership of technical deliverables and outcomes.
Ability to work independently, manage workload, and make decisions without constant supervision.
Fluency in English (required).
Willingness to work remotely from Poland (role is remote but limited to candidates within Poland).
Availability to work approximately 30–40 hours per week with flexible scheduling and time tracking.
Comfort participating in company governance and collaborative decision-making (Sociocracy 3.0) is a plus.
