Description

  • Work directly with external partners and customers to understand data needs, analytical workflows, and technical constraints.
  • Lead technical conversations with partner engineers and data teams to support API integrations and downstream analytics.
  • Design and implement customer solutions on Beacon’s platform or the customer’s platform to accelerate integration and validate Beacon’s data.
  • Develop proof-of-concepts and production-ready code for partner-facing use cases.
  • Build analyses, dashboards, and integration tooling that help partners succeed with Beacon’s data platform.
  • Collaborate with Datastore engineers, product managers, and scientific teams to translate partner needs into data models, tools, and workflows.
  • Create internal tools, queries, and workflows to improve observability, troubleshooting, and resolution of client data issues.
  • Use partner and stakeholder feedback to improve documentation, APIs, data models, and operational processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience developing and supporting data platform solutions; hands-on coding is required.
  • 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role delivering solutions to external partners or clients.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience designing and maintaining analytical or operational data models.
  • Experience solving data-related problems with customers or external stakeholders, including requirements gathering, solution design, and delivery.
  • Comfort working across the stack, including querying, modeling, and writing application or integration code as needed.
  • Proficiency in a data-oriented programming language such as Python, Julia, or R.
  • Familiarity with APIs and data integration patterns such as GraphQL or REST, batch exports, ELT/ETL, and event sourcing.
  • Experience with analytics and BI tools such as Snowflake, Superset, Looker, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working in ambiguous environments with a pragmatism-first, high-integrity approach is preferred.

  • Salary range of $150,000 to $170,000.
