Description

  • Contribute to platform performance, observability, and reliability standards and help drive adoption across feature teams.
  • Reshape how the company builds and ships software through CI/CD, trunk-based development, and layered testing strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Developer Experience team to build shared tooling.
  • Improve the developer and pre-production experience through pipeline design, environment stability, and faster feedback loops.
  • Lead platform projects across the stack, including release tooling, platform reliability, and core backend decomposition into services.
  • Own deliverables, quality, and on-call support across systems and components.
  • Drive projects from ideation through production.
  • Partner closely with feature teams through pull requests, demos, design discussions, and early risk/blocker identification.
  • Define and support org-wide engineering standards for testing, environment management, performance, and SLOs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Experience developing large-scale cloud-native systems with a focus on reliability, scalability, and observability.
  • Depth in modern software delivery practices, including CI/CD, trunk-based development, layered automated testing, and release methods such as feature flagging, canary deployments, and progressive delivery.
  • Experience contributing to org-wide standards for testing strategy, environment management, performance, and SLOs.
  • Fluency with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex as part of the development workflow.
  • Strong judgment for evaluating, refining, and taking full ownership of AI-generated output.
  • A thoughtful, collaborative approach to design and decision-making.
  • Commitment to inclusive environments where all voices are valued.
  • Experience with the company’s stack is relevant, including Ruby, Rails, JavaScript, React, Java, Python, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Sidekiq, AWS, Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes, Datadog, and Airbrake.
