Description

  • Develop and manage SBA credits and relationships with a strong focus on SBA 7(a) lending.
  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing small to mid-size business clients.
  • Actively market SBA 7(a) loan opportunities to grow the portfolio.
  • Prepare and present credit analysis and recommendations on borrowing requests.
  • Negotiate loan terms and conditions within scope of authority.
  • Perform credit reviews to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Monitor credits through periodic reviews and ongoing analysis.
  • Create awareness of the bank and its services through community activity and involvement.
  • Develop a portfolio of new business relationships with minimal direction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • 6 or more years of experience in commercial credit and business development, including SBA lending.
  • Knowledge of SBA 7(a) lending products, rules, and regulations.
  • Ability to underwrite and structure SBA credits.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage new business relationships, including small to mid-size businesses.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of bank products.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time.
