Description

  • Develop and manage relationships with new and existing small- to mid-sized business clients.
  • Market and originate SBA 7(a) lending opportunities.
  • Build new business relationships to grow the lending portfolio.
  • Prepare and present credit analyses and lending recommendations.
  • Structure, underwrite, and negotiate loan terms within delegated authority.
  • Conduct credit reviews to ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor loan portfolio performance through ongoing reviews and analysis.
  • Represent the bank through community involvement and networking activities.
  • Independently manage lending opportunities and client relationships across assigned markets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Law, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
  • 4+ years of commercial credit and business development experience, including SBA lending.
  • Ability to develop and manage relationships with small- to mid-sized companies.
  • Knowledge of SBA 7(a) products, regulations, underwriting, and loan structuring.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and credit analysis abilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to present recommendations and influence decisions.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build trust with clients and business partners.
  • Understanding of banking products and services.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and travel up to 50%.

  • Target starting salary of $98,035-$110,000, based on experience.
