Description

  • Design and operate VxLAN/EVPN-based datacenter fabrics across multiple PoPs and traditional spanning tree environments.
  • Design and operate Palo Alto firewall infrastructure, including policy design, zone segmentation, and threat prevention.
  • Architect and maintain BGP-based WAN routing across the backbone.
  • Drive network automation initiatives from device provisioning to event-driven remediation.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to evaluate new technologies and deliver network improvements.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and perform after-hours maintenance as needed.
  • Work across datacenter fabric, WAN, and security infrastructure to keep the network running at scale.
  • Mentor junior engineers and lead project work independently.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience with service provider network infrastructure.
  • Deep expertise in datacenter networking, including VxLAN, EVPN, BGP EVPN control plane, and leaf-spine architectures.
  • Strong Palo Alto experience, including firewall policy management, Panorama, and zone-based segmentation.
  • Solid routing foundation with BGP (iBGP/eBGP), OSPF, and MPLS in production environments.
  • Experience with Cisco ASR/Nexus/NX-OS and Juniper MX/SRX platforms.
  • Scripting or development experience with Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
  • Comfortable working in Linux environments.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading project work independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Preferred: experience with ACI or other SDN/overlay controller platforms.
  • Preferred: network certifications such as CCIE, JNCIE, or PCNSE.
  • Preferred: experience using AI to contribute to your mission.
