Description

  • Own the experience layer for a customer journey or product surface end to end across the Babylist product ecosystem.
  • Design and build intuitive, delightful experiences that solve real user problems under stressful and complex decision-making contexts.
  • Plan and execute generative and evaluative user research to ground design decisions in customer behavior.
  • Create rapid working prototypes and iterate quickly based on feedback and testing.
  • Write and refine production frontend code to implement and polish the experiences you design.
  • Contribute to and evolve the design system by building reusable components and interaction patterns.
  • Define and uphold the quality bar for product excellence, delight, and interaction quality.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, analysts, and other designers to move high-impact work forward.
  • Instrument your work, track metrics, and make iterate/pivot/stop decisions based on evidence.
  • Support AI-enabled workflows and help others contribute meaningfully to the experience layer.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product design or a related role.
  • Portfolio of shipped consumer product work across web and native mobile.
  • Experience planning and running generative and evaluative research.
  • Ability to move from rough concept to interactive prototype in hours, not weeks.
  • Experience writing production frontend code.
  • Strong systems thinking and fluency with design systems and interaction patterns.
  • Experience using AI tools as part of daily work; AI-native workflow experience preferred.
  • Ability to use both qualitative and quantitative evidence to inform design decisions.
  • Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-moving, cross-functional environments.
  • Experience with metrics-driven iteration and outcome ownership preferred.
