Description

  • Own the end-to-end financial and inventory strategy for a division, including sales, margin, inventory, and turns.
  • Lead forecasting, monthly OTB, and in-season management to guide investment and risk decisions.
  • Define and evolve divisional inventory and replenishment strategies to improve in-stock rates, inventory flow, and working capital efficiency.
  • Act as the planning counterpart to Merchandising on assortment and pricing decisions through clear, data-backed recommendations.
  • Identify risks and opportunities through weekly performance analysis and drive timely cross-functional actions.
  • Build pre-season financial plans that translate assortment strategy into executable targets across categories, classes, and key items.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve forecasting accuracy, streamline planning workflows, and scale the planning function.
  • Develop, coach, hiring, and manage a team of planners while raising analytical rigor and business judgment.
  • Introduce better planning frameworks, tools, and ways of working that improve decision-making across the organization.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in merchandise planning, inventory planning, or retail finance.
  • Direct ownership of a department- or division-level P&L, including sales, margin, inventory, and OTB.
  • 3+ years managing planners, including hiring and developing high-performing teams with at least 2 direct reports.
  • Deep expertise in retail math, forecasting, and inventory management, including OTB ownership, in-season reforecasting, and inventory turn optimization.
  • Proven ability to influence Merchandising leaders on assortment, pricing, and investment decisions.
  • Experience leading cross-functional, cross-divisional initiatives that changed planning processes, tools, or ways of working.
  • Strong command of planning tools and data environments such as advanced Excel and systems like Anaplan, Netsuite, SAP, or similar.
  • Experience operating across multiple inventory models, including owned and drop-ship inventory.
  • Comfort working in high-growth, evolving e-commerce or omnichannel environments where decisions must be made without perfect data.
  • Genuine interest in AI and willingness to use AI tools as part of daily work.
