Description

  • Harden cloud infrastructure, APIs, internal tooling, and CI/CD pipelines through encryption, secrets management, logging, and access controls.
  • Conduct vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, adversarial testing, threat modeling, and manual security reviews.
  • Drive vulnerability remediation through closure across systems deployed in client environments.
  • Design defenses and guardrails against prompt injection, adversarial inputs, unauthorized actions, unsafe outputs, and data leakage.
  • Own Azumo’s automated security, cost, and architecture audit, including its checks, severity grading, and accuracy.
  • Build monitoring and detection capabilities, investigate suspicious activity, and lead incident response, containment, root-cause analysis, and remediation.
  • Secure systems within client repositories and tooling while supporting compliance requirements such as SOC 2 and HIPAA.
  • Collaborate directly with engineers and clients to communicate findings and establish shared security expectations.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in security engineering, infrastructure security, application security, DevSecOps, or offensive security.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals in testing, code review, CI/CD, Git, containers, and API design.
  • Deep, current knowledge of AWS and experience securing production environments.
  • Demonstrated success identifying and remediating vulnerabilities in live systems.
  • Experience securing AI or LLM-powered systems or automated agents, including prompt injection, adversarial inputs, unsafe outputs, unauthorized actions, and data leakage.
  • Active experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
  • Strong communication skills and B2/C1-level or higher written and spoken English.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience with cloud security tools, SIEM and observability platforms, penetration testing, endpoint security, and infrastructure-as-code security such as Terraform or Bicep preferred.
  • SOC 2 or HIPAA delivery experience, relevant certifications, security community participation, or experience in startup, fintech, banking, or payments environments preferred.
