Description

  • Design and develop scalable, high-performance big data infrastructure using Spark, Kafka, Snowflake, and similar frameworks.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines, data services, data warehouses, BI platforms, and ML platforms.
  • Collaborate with a growing engineering team on data and analytics infrastructure initiatives.
  • Work across both on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of data-related systems that support decision-making.
  • Apply big data computing expertise to help advance Azumo’s analytics capabilities.
  • Participate in ongoing learning and adoption of new technologies.

Requirements

  • BS or Master’s degree in Computer Science, a related degree, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in data-related and data management responsibilities.
  • Deep expertise in designing and building data warehouses and big data analytics systems.
  • Practical experience manipulating, analyzing, and visualizing data.
  • Experience with cloud-based managed services such as Airflow, Glue, Elastic Stack, Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, Azure SQL DB, EMR, Azure, Databricks, Altiscale, or Qubole (preferred).
  • Prior experience with notebooks such as Jupyter, Google Colab, or similar (preferred).
  • Self-driven and motivated, with a strong work ethic and a passion for problem solving.
  • Remote-based availability.
