Description

  • Support and improve hybrid production infrastructure environments for more than 15 development teams across 100+ products and 10K+ domains.
  • Help developers solve complex technical issues across multiple stacks and environments.
  • Architect and plan improvements to a multi-datacenter development environment.
  • Participate in design decisions, including technology research and prototyping.
  • Advocate for and help teams migrate services to more automated and elastic infrastructure using cloud, Kubernetes, and serverless technologies.
  • Document processes and monitor performance metrics across environments and services.
  • Promote and implement CI/CD strategies and practices.
  • Develop and improve critical cloud-based shared services.
  • Support and extend infrastructure as code coverage.
  • Mentor junior DevOps team members and promote best practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Several years of experience as a DevOps or Systems Administrator in Linux environments.
  • Strong understanding of scalability patterns for high-traffic infrastructure.
  • Experience with at least one of the three major cloud providers, with familiarity across all three.
  • Experience provisioning servers, virtual machines, and services with VMware or equivalent tools.
  • Ability to debug complex issues and work closely with developers.
  • Comfort with command line tools, scripting, and configuring web servers and load balancers.
  • Experience managing highly available database clusters and cache systems.
  • Good understanding of networking and web hosting/delivery infrastructure, including DNS, HTTPS, and WAF.
  • Ability to debug and code, preferably in Python.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD models and best practices.
  • Kubernetes experience.
  • Familiarity with configuration management or orchestration tools such as Ansible.
  • Knowledge of monitoring processes and tools.
  • Self-sufficient with excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Advanced experience with ElasticSearch (nice to have).
  • Advanced experience with Percona Server for MySQL (nice to have).
  • Experience managing GitLab server instances (nice to have).
  • Experience deploying applications on Kubernetes across all major cloud providers (nice to have).
  • Natural leadership and strong context switching ability (nice to have).
