Description

  • Work as part of the real-time communications team to deliver highly available 911 infrastructure.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Carbyne’s emergency communication platform.
  • Provide customized communication solutions for unified communications services.
  • Install, maintain, integrate, and contribute to PBX projects and UC solutions.
  • Create and maintain technical specifications and solution documents.
  • Own onboarding for new customers in alignment with customer requirements and solution specifications.
  • Provide technical support and training to the Operations team on 911 emergency communications systems.
  • Develop a strong understanding of unified communications architecture, networking, and cloud computing.
  • Collaborate with Operations, R&D, Sales, the CTO Office, Product Managers, and other internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with VoIP architecture and hands-on installation of open-source UC platforms such as Kamailio, FreeSWITCH, or Asterisk.
  • Extensive knowledge of VoIP deployments and protocols including SIP, SDP, RTP, and WebRTC.
  • Experience troubleshooting video and audio codecs, packetization, encryption, and transport.
  • 3+ years of experience deploying open-source VoIP solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience in networking with a full understanding of the OSI model and network layers 1-7.
  • Good understanding of Linux environments, including bash scripting.
  • Hands-on experience deploying on private and public network/security clouds, including AWS.
  • Industry certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, or CCNA Voice are preferred.
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
  • Knowledge of AWS infrastructure is preferred.
  • Some roles may require legal eligibility to work in a firearms environment.

  • Base salary range of $141,000 to $188,000 USD, plus annual bonus and company equity.
