Description

  • Develop branded content for Axios’ local advertising partners.
  • Collaborate with the Branded Content Editor and local revenue partners on thought leadership, community-based, and brand marketing campaigns.
  • Write native branded content for local audiences in Axios’ Smart Brevity style.
  • Craft original sponsored content under editorial guidance.
  • Research local issues, industries, and communities as needed to support content development.
  • Brainstorm themes and messaging that align with client goals and local audience interests.
  • Adapt brand messaging into stories that feel relevant, useful, and authentic in local markets.
  • Work across multiple markets, industries, and campaign types while maintaining quality and consistency.
  • Create content for newsletters, websites, event materials, and social platforms.
  • Assist in the creation and production of branded content through live interviews.

Requirements

  • Writing experience in a branded, local editorial, or community-focused content capacity.
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to hit daily deadlines and work quickly and thoroughly.
  • Ability to work well across teams and markets.
  • Strong understanding of local audience storytelling.
  • Demonstrated ability to research and brainstorm themes and messaging aligned with client goals.
  • Strong editorial judgment and the ability to identify the most audience-relevant angle within a sponsor’s message.
  • Comfort with live interviews.
  • Experience working on small creative teams to create client-driven materials.
  • Design, infographic, social video, or AI-assisted content workflow skills are a plus.
  • Passion for thought leadership, service journalism, and storytelling on behalf of brands.
  • Passion for Axios’ mission and an entrepreneurial spirit.
