Description

  • Oversee the comprehensive information assurance program for assigned information systems.
  • Ensure the continuous implementation and maintenance of an appropriate operational security posture.
  • Act as the primary authority responsible for daily cybersecurity operations across assigned systems.
  • Advise the Authorizing Official, system owners, and the CISO on risks, vulnerabilities, and security health.
  • Provide Risk Management Framework expertise and support for cybersecurity inspections, operations, and orders processing.
  • Maintain current system security documentation and accurately define and preserve authorization boundaries.
  • Support and facilitate security assessment and authorization activities to maintain Authority to Operate status.
  • Lead and assist in cybersecurity audits, inspections, compliance reviews, and technical assessments.
  • Ensure information systems comply with client mandates, federal regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Apply knowledge of network security architecture, incident response, and physical security standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent verifiable work experience.
  • 8 years of progressive experience in information assurance, cybersecurity engineering, or ISSO/ISSM roles.
  • Security+ certification or higher; CISSP, CAP, or CASP are desired.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
  • Ability to pass a background investigation.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DHS Suitability/Entry on Duty (EOD).
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Exceptional communication and diplomacy skills with the ability to translate technical risks into business advice.
  • Strong analytical thinking and meticulous attention to security documentation and boundaries.
  • Working knowledge of automated cybersecurity and vulnerability scanning tools such as ACAS, Nessus, Splunk, or HBSS.
