Description

  • Lead and develop the IAM team and provide technical leadership across security initiatives.
  • Build an IAM roadmap in partnership with engineering, corporate systems, and other departments.
  • Develop strategies that balance short- and long-term business impact while managing security risks.
  • Hire, coach, and develop security talent through timely and actionable feedback.
  • Set clear goals for the team and remove obstacles to execution.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships to increase the impact of security work.
  • Work with company leaders to improve processes and systems that protect patients, employees, and the organization.
  • Take ownership of technology decisions while delegating effectively and empowering team members.
  • Generate automated metrics to measure service and program effectiveness and consistency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience designing, building, or operating data protection services.
  • 9+ years of experience building and leading highly complex technical security teams.
  • Experience developing and delivering a multi-year vision and strategy with quarterly deliverables across multiple teams.
  • Demonstrated success attracting, hiring, and coaching world-class engineers and managers.
  • Experience with Identity & Access Management (IAM) systems and practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of authentication protocols, authorization mechanisms, and directory services.
  • Strong proficiency implementing IAM solutions in very complex environments.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and security standards.
  • Working knowledge of health-tech systems such as Electronic Health Records and clinical data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex security issues to diverse audiences.
  • Experience with security stack tools such as Okta, Auth0, Amazon Web Services, Azure, and Google Workspace is strongly preferred.
  • Sitting for prolonged periods, extensive use of computers and keyboard, and occasional walking or lifting may be required.
