Description

  • Install, maintain, and support anti-malware and host-based intrusion detection tools across network storage devices.
  • Monitor and remediate malware alerts, event collection issues, and scheduled job or service failures.
  • Ensure alerts and logs are properly defined and forwarded to SIEM platforms.
  • Track CVEs affecting data security software and Windows/Linux systems, then apply patches or alternative countermeasures in a timely manner.
  • Lead projects to identify and remediate data with excessive access permissions.
  • Collaborate with server, storage, collaboration, Active Directory, business unit, and cyber teams to meet project and support objectives.
  • Support the Collaboration team with data classification labeling and provide requested data security reports to users.
  • Assist Incident Detection, Incident Response, Investigation, and Data Loss Prevention teams by providing data from security tools.
  • Manage deployment of data security hardware and software at new sites, including firewall rule modification requests.
  • Perform server health checks, monitor resource usage, and request additional resources as needed to maintain performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience installing, configuring, and using cybersecurity software for data security.
  • Knowledge of NetApp, Varonis, and Trend Micro Server Protect is a bonus.
  • Strong understanding of CIFS and NTFS, including the network protocols they rely on.
  • Experience with NTFS permissions, ownership, share and folder ACLs, and inheritance.
  • Administrative knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems, including scripting on both platforms.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience leading change controls in a large global manufacturing enterprise.
  • Ability to collaborate with cybersecurity teams to investigate alerts and provide clear reports and communication.
  • Understanding of required network ports and protocols, including submitting firewall requests for new modules or servers.
  • Experience using a SIEM for data querying; KQL experience with Microsoft Sentinel is preferred, but SQL or similar query experience is acceptable.
  • Experience leading product evaluations and proof-of-concepts with unbiased analysis and recommendation matrices.
