Description

  • Design and develop data models for predictive modeling and complex representation or interpretation needs.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis using statistical and mathematical methods.
  • Apply machine-learning libraries and frameworks to business use cases.
  • Enhance traditional application models with intelligent-systems design.
  • Own ML software delivery quality and model lifecycle improvements.
  • Translate business requirements into features with product, QA, engineering, DBA, and Scrum teams.
  • Design scalable, secure, maintainable architectures and optimize application performance.
  • Debug code, manage code quality, and ensure appropriate unit-test coverage.
  • Collaborate with QA on test-case design and customer requirements validation.
  • Mentor junior engineers and follow documented coding standards and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus 5+ years of software development experience, or a relevant master’s degree plus 3+ years of experience with multi-tiered systems.
  • Strong knowledge of C#, R, and Python.
  • Experience with statistical learning methods and artificial-intelligence concepts and system design.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, SOLID principles, and unit testing.
  • Experience with Git or similar source-control systems in continuous-integration environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile development processes, including Scrum or Kanban.
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices and the OWASP Top Ten.
  • Experience with Hadoop, Spark, DataBricks, Deedle, F# Data Toolbox, or XPLot preferred.
  • Experience with computer vision, natural-language understanding, autonomous or robotic systems, machine learning, deep learning, or reinforcement learning preferred.
  • Experience in systems engineering, feedback control systems, or model-based software engineering preferred.
