Description

  • Research, write, edit, and revise original Oncology-focused content, including manuscripts, presentations, and related materials.
  • Ensure scientific accuracy, editorial quality, and appropriate referencing across deliverables.
  • Coordinate with clients, authors, speakers, external experts, and internal colleagues to progress projects.
  • Attend congresses, symposia, and advisory boards as needed and liaise with participants.
  • Contribute to project specifications, budgets, and schedules to support on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Brief colleagues and freelance writers clearly and effectively.
  • Participate in account development meetings to support repeat business.
  • Provide editorial oversight and mentor new writers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences; PharmD or PhD highly preferred.
  • At least 2 years of medical writing experience, preferably publication-focused experience in a medical communications agency.
  • Proven experience developing scientific content for Oncology-focused accounts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Proficiency conducting Internet and PubMed searches.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team.
  • Availability to work flexibly, ideally from the U.S. East Coast.
