Description

  • Conduct automated and manual Section 508 remediation for reports, written analyses, studies, and digital assets.
  • Format and remediate PDFs, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint files, and multimedia to meet Section 508 and WCAG 2.1/2.2 Level A and AA standards.
  • Test user interfaces with screen readers and keyboard-only navigation.
  • Develop document templates and apply layouts, formats, styles, fields, and advanced Microsoft Word features.
  • Coordinate internal workflows and track project progress.
  • Meet contract and project timelines, including quick-turnaround deliverables and extended hours when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience with Section 508 accessibility standards and digital document remediation.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and SharePoint.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Acrobat Pro.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information clearly.
  • Strong formatting, organizational, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work, and handle detailed material under deadline pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, learn quickly, and remain flexible.
  • Degree in English, technical writing, journalism, communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and experience, including an associate degree or certification, accepted.
  • PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio experience preferred.
