Description

  • Support senior staff with account stewardship and cross-functional project management.
  • Coordinate subject matter experts, technical staff, vendors, client teams, and other partners to deliver projects and programs efficiently.
  • Develop strategic and tactical recommendations for Avalere clients.
  • Manage short- and long-term deliverables to meet client needs.
  • Analyze and research policy proposals and track market developments affecting healthcare stakeholders.
  • Create client deliverables based on policy and market analysis.
  • Collaborate across practices and serve as a recognized resource to internal teams and clients.
  • Maintain a professional level of knowledge of Avalere Health’s services and products.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, health plans, health sciences consulting/advisory services, public sector roles such as CDC, or other healthcare-related organizations.
  • Graduate degree in public policy, health sciences, health policy, epidemiology/biostatistics, public health, or a related field; a bachelor’s degree plus substantial relevant experience is also acceptable.
  • Proficient understanding of healthcare policy.
  • Experience analyzing policy proposals, legislation, and/or regulation and translating findings for different audiences.
  • Knowledge of policy analysis and the legislative and regulatory impacts, challenges, and unintended consequences of policy.
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative public health research methods.
  • Experience with primary and secondary research and analytic methods.
  • Experience with evidence generation, review, and appraisal.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel with strong time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including functions, pivot tables, and visualizations; advanced Excel-based modeling is preferred.
  • Ability to synthesize research into PowerPoint presentations with accurate content, thoughtful design, and effective use of PPT tools.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to maintain positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proven ability to initiate and drive projects to completion.
  • Responsive, action-oriented, positive, professional, and solution-oriented demeanor.
  • Ability to build trust and cultivate relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Problem definition and resolution skills.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and content.
