Description

  • Serve as a key member of the government relations advocacy team to strengthen Aurora’s public policy impact in Washington, DC.
  • Implement and scale federal policy initiatives and educational programs.
  • Develop relationships with regulatory stakeholders and act as an on-the-ground liaison between those stakeholders and Aurora.
  • Update stakeholders on company innovations and economic investments, and support responses to regulatory inquiries and issue briefing requests.
  • Strengthen public policy operations and identify new opportunities for stakeholder outreach, trade association workstreams, and campus visits.
  • Represent Aurora in trade associations and coalitions, and participate in advocacy activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor the Executive Branch for legislation and regulations affecting autonomous vehicle operations.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to develop company positions on pending regulations that could affect the business.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant experience working with federal government officials or trade associations.
  • Strong understanding of legislative, regulatory, and electoral processes.
  • Experience designing and managing stakeholder engagement programs.
  • Project management skills and comfort working in fluid, dynamic, and ambiguous environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with executives and influence across multiple levels and functions of an organization.
  • Strong teamwork and execution skills.
  • Proficiency in G Suite, including Docs, Slides, and Sheets (preferred).

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $162,000 to $234,000 per year.
  • Eligibility for an annual bonus.
  • Eligibility for equity compensation.
  • Benefits package.
  • Hybrid work environment with at least 3 days per week in the office.
