Description

  • Expand relationships with academic, NCI-designated, and other leading cancer centers.
  • Develop trusted-advisor relationships with cancer center executives and identify consulting opportunities.
  • Lead business development from relationship building through proposals, contracting, and delivery transition.
  • Advise leaders on strategy, governance, operating models, workforce planning, performance improvement, and research infrastructure.
  • Lead engagements involving clinical research operations, research administration, financial performance, technology, compliance, and transformation.
  • Maintain accountability for project quality, client satisfaction, financial performance, sales, pipeline, and client expansion goals.
  • Represent Attain at leadership meetings, conferences, industry associations, webinars, and other external forums.
  • Develop thought leadership, methodologies, assessment tools, implementation frameworks, benchmarks, and reusable intellectual capital.
  • Mentor consulting staff and contribute to recruiting, staffing, resource planning, and cancer center capability development.
  • Promote collaboration across clinical consulting, research administration, technology, data, and transformation teams.

Requirements

  • At least 15 years of progressively responsible experience in cancer center administration, clinical research operations, healthcare consulting, or a related field.
  • Significant leadership experience within an academic, NCI-designated, comprehensive, or similarly complex cancer center.
  • Prior experience as a cancer center executive director, chief administrative officer, deputy director, associate director for administration, COO, clinical research executive, or comparable leader.
  • Established relationships with senior cancer center leaders and participation in relevant professional networks.
  • Deep understanding of cancer center strategic, operational, financial, and organizational challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert executive needs into funded initiatives or consulting engagements and support sales development.
  • Experience leading complex operational assessments, transformation initiatives, or implementation efforts.
  • Strong executive presence, facilitation, written communication, presentation, and trusted-advisor skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, scientists, administrators, executives, and operational teams.
  • Willingness to travel periodically, up to 20%; preferred qualifications include relevant professional association leadership and an advanced related degree.

  • Base salary of $175,000–$225,000 USD plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
