Description

  • Define and drive the technical vision and architecture for DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud resources across the organization.
  • Lead design reviews, make architecture decisions, and serve as the technical escalation point for complex infrastructure challenges.
  • Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform using infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Own and improve CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, safe deployments and improve developer deployment velocity.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability systems and lead incident response and post-mortems to improve system resilience.
  • Partner with product engineering teams to translate product infrastructure needs into scalable solutions and participate in capacity planning and technical roadmaps.
  • Work closely with Security to implement and maintain compliance and security best practices across infrastructure and pipelines.
  • Mentor and coach DevOps engineers, establish and document runbooks, standards, and best practices, and champion a culture of reliability, automation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years focused on DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
  • Deep experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform strongly preferred; AWS or Azure acceptable).
  • Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools, particularly Terraform.
  • Strong experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and CI/CD systems (e.g., GitHub Actions).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and influence without direct authority.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for varied audiences.
  • Experience implementing monitoring, observability, and incident response processes (Sentry, Datadog, Grafana, OpenTelemetry or similar).
  • Preferred: experience in healthcare technology or other regulated industries.
  • Preferred: familiarity with backend stack (Node, TypeScript, Express) and experience building/scaling observability platforms.
  • Preferred: track record of improving developer experience and deployment velocity.
