Description

Identify defense programs, offices, primes, and suppliers with urgent or recurring manufactured part needs.
Track specific part requirements across sustainment, modernization, research, and supply-chain disruption opportunities.
Build relationships across military services, program offices, depots, laboratories, and defense primes.
Obtain technical data packages, drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and qualification information.
Determine data ownership, rights, and agreements needed for Atomic to evaluate opportunities.
Structure NDAs, data-sharing arrangements, and evaluation agreements.
Coordinate internal technical reviews and assess fit with Atomic’s capabilities, economics, timing, and capacity.
Develop program structures including stakeholders, acquisition pathway, qualification process, schedule, funding source, and next actions.
Move opportunities through evaluation, quoting, prototyping, qualification, contracting, and production.
Create and maintain a structured pipeline and operating system for government opportunities.

Requirements

Experience in defense acquisition, program management, logistics, sustainment, industrial base, business development, strategy, capture, special projects, manufacturing, supply chain, sourcing, consulting, or investing in defense programs.
Direct experience with technical data packages, defense manufacturing, contracting pathways, qualification requirements, or programs of record is highly valuable.
Ability to operate without a predefined playbook and work through ambiguity and long decision cycles.
Ability to navigate complex organizations and identify the person who owns a problem.
Comfort working with senior government officials, engineers, contracting personnel, prime contractors, and factory teams.
Ability to understand technical and manufacturing information well enough to know what matters.
Strong organizational skills to manage many relationships, programs, documents, dependencies, and follow-ups.
Clear communication skills to turn complex opportunities into concise facts and actions.
Strong judgment on when to pursue, escalate, or walk away from an opportunity.
