Description

  • Independently lead and deliver billable client engagements (target: ~40 hrs/week) from discovery through production deployment.
  • Execute Atmosera delivery frameworks, including data workshops (visioning, requirements, stakeholder alignment), assessments & blueprinting, Fabric foundations, proofs of value, and migrations.
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and performant data solutions on Microsoft Fabric and own technical architecture decisions.
  • Build and optimize data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Fabric-native tooling.
  • Develop and tune Spark-based workloads for batch and/or streaming scenarios.
  • Architect medallion/lakehouse patterns and implement data modeling, transformation, and orchestration strategies.
  • Ensure solutions align with Azure Well-Architected principles and data platform best practices.
  • Facilitate client workshops, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and influence client decisions through structured recommendations.
  • Identify risks, tradeoffs, and optimization opportunities and maintain high standards of delivery quality and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric (end-to-end platform capabilities).
  • Strong experience with Azure Data Factory.
  • Advanced proficiency in Apache Spark (PySpark; Scala preferred).
  • Experience designing modern data architectures (lakehouse, medallion, ELT/ETL patterns).
  • Strong understanding of Azure data services and ecosystem integration.
  • Proven ability to independently deliver consulting engagements and operate with minimal oversight after onboarding.
  • Strong client-facing communication, facilitation skills, and experience leading workshops, assessments, and architecture design sessions.
  • Professional attributes: proactive, collaborative, mindful, high ownership mentality, and strong problem-solving/decision-making capability.
  • Preferred: Databricks engineering/architecture experience, Power BI modeling/semantic layer/reporting integration, and Azure Synapse Analytics experience.
  • Preferred certifications: DP-203 (or Fabric equivalent), Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer, and/or Azure Solutions Architect Expert; availability as a contractor and willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
