Description

  • Lead Azure Well-Architected Reviews and architecture assessments for managed-services customers.
  • Identify architectural risks and opportunities to improve reliability, security, performance, operational maturity, and cost efficiency.
  • Translate customer business and technical requirements into scoped Azure solutions with assumptions, dependencies, risks, and effort estimates.
  • Develop actionable cloud cost optimization and modernization recommendations.
  • Lead technical discussions with customer stakeholders and internal Operations, Engineering, Customer Success, and architecture teams.
  • Recognize when initiatives exceed managed-services scope and require consulting or senior architecture involvement.
  • Contribute to reusable architecture standards, assessment templates, governance practices, and technical documentation.
  • Help develop and validate automation and AI-enabled workflows for scalable architecture assessments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud engineering, consulting, managed services, or related technical roles, including 3+ years of hands-on Azure experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure Virtual Machines, Networking, Storage, Microsoft Entra ID, Backup, Monitor, Policy, and Cost Management.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Azure Well-Architected Framework and experience with architecture or design reviews, technical governance, or customer-facing architecture engagements.
  • Ability to evaluate architectural risks and tradeoffs and develop practical Azure solution recommendations and implementation approaches.
  • Experience improving cloud cost efficiency, operational maturity, reliability, and performance while balancing resiliency, security, and supportability.
  • Strong written communication, presentation, documentation, and technical discussion skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across Operations, Engineering, Customer Success, and architecture teams.
  • Azure Administrator (AZ-104), Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-305), FinOps Certified Practitioner, or equivalent certification experience preferred.
  • Experience with managed-services customers, architecture review boards, or technical governance programs preferred.
  • Experience with PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bicep, Terraform, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, or similar automation and AI technologies preferred.
