Description

  • Deploy and configure data pipelines within client environments, including field-level mapping between customer schemas and internal data models.
  • Translate and migrate backend data pipelines, workloads, and cloud infrastructure from Microsoft Azure to Google Cloud Platform.
  • Design, build, and optimize Python-based data engineering pipelines using BigQuery as the primary datastore.
  • Establish and manage GCP infrastructure and workflow orchestration with Cloud Run, Apache Airflow, or equivalent services.
  • Configure Vertex AI for model registry and machine learning platform capabilities.
  • Use Spark or PySpark to optimize computationally intensive processing, including network-graph calculations.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot for code generation, review, and engineering productivity.
  • Adapt engineering solutions to client-specific schemas, environments, and operational constraints.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on Python experience in data engineering.
  • Extensive experience using Google BigQuery as a core input/output storage engine.
  • Experience setting up cloud infrastructure and orchestrating data workflows with Airflow, Cloud Run, or equivalent tools.
  • Experience adapting engineering solutions to diverse client schemas and environment constraints.
  • Experience migrating data pipelines and infrastructure from Microsoft Azure to GCP (preferred).
  • Google Cloud certification, such as Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Data Engineer, or Professional Cloud Architect (preferred).
  • Experience with Apache Spark or PySpark for complex data processing (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with Vertex AI for platform setup and model management (preferred).
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools such as GitHub Copilot (preferred).
