Description

  • Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on customer-owned equipment within an assigned territory.
  • Install, de-install, relocate, pack, unpack, and inspect new products in assigned areas.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex clinical systems and diagnostic imaging equipment.
  • Complete required administrative reporting, including expense reports, parts requisitions, installation reports, service reports, and customer complaint reports.
  • Maintain assigned tools, test equipment, instrumentation, calibration records, and technical spares.
  • Provide technical guidance and assistance to customers as needed.
  • Perform final calibration, compliance testing, and applications training for customer acceptance.
  • Participate in on-call standby duty, travel as required, and work unscheduled or odd hours when needed.
  • Follow safety policies and good manufacturing practices.
  • Build customer confidence by resolving technical problems effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in an electro-mechanical field.
  • Previous biomedical, x-ray fundamentals, electronics, or computer technology training required.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining biomedical, clinical, and/or X-ray diagnostic imaging equipment.
  • Experience servicing complex electronic and electromechanical systems in the medical field.
  • Ability to quickly learn new product technology using technical publications and maintenance procedures.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for understanding complex systems.
  • Ability to operate test equipment and instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, diagnostic testers, and RF measurement equipment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including comfort presenting to senior management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to rent a car for service travel.
  • Able and willing to work extended hours, weekends, and travel extensively.
  • Capable of heavy lifting of 50 lbs or more and working without supervision.
  • Eligible to maintain required hospital credentials and meet applicable physical or vaccination requirements for U.S.-based hospital access, including COVID-19 vaccination if applicable.
