Description

  • Design and implement automation solutions to improve developer productivity and system reliability.
  • Build and maintain shared platform services, libraries, and infrastructure components.
  • Develop integration patterns and tooling for internal systems and third-party services.
  • Provide architectural guidance and technical consultation to product engineering teams.
  • Implement and maintain contract testing frameworks to reduce integration errors.
  • Work with authentication and identity systems such as SSO, SAML, and OAuth.
  • Contribute to event-driven architectures using message buses and asynchronous patterns.
  • Create technical documentation, architectural decision records, and integration guides.
  • Participate in code reviews and help establish engineering standards and best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 2+ years in a senior or platform-focused role.
  • Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages, preferably Ruby or Python; Node.js and Go are also accepted.
  • Good experience with AWS services, including Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, DynamoDB, and SQS/SNS.
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture, API design, and distributed systems.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and deployment automation.
  • Familiarity with message queues and event-driven patterns such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with contract testing tools, healthcare technology, HIPAA/HiTrust, identity federation, WebSockets, developer tools, SDKs, shared libraries, SQL, or GraphQL is a plus.
