Description

  • Monitor payment activity, transaction flows, success rates, failures, exceptions, and operational issues.
  • Coordinate with processors, acquirers, banks, technology providers, merchants, and internal teams to resolve payment issues.
  • Support merchant onboarding, account setup, ongoing changes, and operational requests.
  • Perform transaction and settlement reconciliation, investigate discrepancies, and track funding issues.
  • Manage chargebacks, disputes, refunds, payouts, adjustments, and required documentation.
  • Prepare reports on transaction volumes, approvals, declines, chargebacks, refunds, and settlements.
  • Create SOPs, workflows, checklists, controls, escalation procedures, and operational dashboards.
  • Identify automation opportunities and improve processes as merchant and transaction volumes grow.

Requirements

  • 2–5+ years of experience in payment processing, fintech, merchant services, acquiring, banking, or a related environment.
  • Hands-on understanding of the payment lifecycle, including authorization, settlement, funding, refunds, and chargebacks.
  • Experience with payment processors, gateways, acquirers, or merchant service providers.
  • Experience with merchant onboarding, account management, reconciliation, and transaction discrepancy investigations.
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills and the ability to analyze payment data.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability, problem-solving skills, and communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, take ownership, and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Experience with Stripe, Adyen, Worldpay, Fiserv, Global Payments, TSYS, PayPal, Checkout.com, Nuvei, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Knowledge of PCI DSS, payment security, fraud prevention, and payments compliance preferred.
