Description

  • Own the full accounting function, including reporting, audits, controls, revenue recognition, and multi-entity consolidation.
  • Partner with the CFO and executive team on financial strategy, scenario planning, board reporting, and investor relations.
  • Manage international accounting operations, including multi-currency accounting, foreign exchange, intercompany transactions, and transfer pricing.
  • Develop cash flow forecasting, balance sheet optimization, working capital, treasury, and hedging strategies.
  • Lead accounting system and ERP selection, implementation, and integration across global functions and subsidiaries.
  • Oversee federal, state, local, and international tax planning and compliance, including Canadian filings and VAT/GST obligations.
  • Develop financial and operational risk management, fraud prevention, and cross-border compliance programs.
  • Build and lead a high-performing accounting organization while supporting scalable growth and new-market entry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA required.
  • 12+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience, including significant experience in technology, software, SaaS, or HaaS companies.
  • Experience leading accounting functions in high-growth, venture-backed, or private-equity-backed environments.
  • Deep expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition for subscription or usage-based business models.
  • Experience with multi-entity consolidations and multi-currency accounting operations.
  • Working knowledge of international tax compliance, transfer pricing, and VAT/GST obligations outside the United States.
  • Experience selecting, implementing, and integrating scalable ERP and accounting systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and retain high-performing geographically distributed teams.
  • Strong communication skills for presenting complex financial information to executives, boards, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Preferred: Big 4 experience, Series B or later SaaS Controller/VP experience, HaaS or IoT familiarity, Canadian subsidiary experience, and exposure to IFRS.
