Description

  • Lead period-end close, budgeting, forecasting, statutory compliance, and financial reporting across multiple portfolio companies.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, analyze KPIs and risks, and develop action plans to improve results, ROI, and profitability.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly business reviews with results, remediation plans, and strategic recommendations.
  • Maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts and ongoing KPI tracking for the portfolio.
  • Manage financial health and cash flow across portfolio companies while supporting acquisition and divestiture activity.
  • Serve as the finance lead for newly acquired companies and implement Fluent Finance best practices from Day 1.
  • Own monthly financial close and oversee accounting tasks, including tax, compliance, audit support, and filing completion.
  • Build and optimize internal controls, policies, procedures, and reporting processes to meet corporate requirements.
  • Supervise and develop accounting and finance personnel across Accounting, FP&A, AR, and AP.
  • Lead financial systems work, including NetSuite rollout, ERP implementations, automation opportunities, and integration/onboarding plans.

Requirements

  • CPA designation and a Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • 3+ years of team management experience.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls and the ability to balance efficiency with compliance.
  • Experience supporting business integrations and navigating conflicting stakeholder needs.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle NetSuite or a similar ERP system.
  • Strong process-improvement and systems-thinking capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Experience in a decentralized finance environment is preferred.
  • Background in vertical market software or M&A is preferred.
  • Exposure to buy-and-hold investment models is preferred.
  • Prior involvement in global statutory audits and financial consolidations is preferred.
