Description

  • Deploy and operate containerized services (ECS or OpenShift) to run application workloads.
  • Configure networking, load balancing (ALB/NLB), and scaling to ensure connectivity and availability.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and environment management across dev/test/prod.
  • Integrate and maintain logging, monitoring, and observability tools to support troubleshooting and operational visibility.
  • Maintain system reliability, uptime, and high availability including autoscaling, health checks, and failover strategies.
  • Use infrastructure-as-code to provision and manage cloud resources and environments.
  • Troubleshoot system and application issues using logs, metrics, and container/network diagnostics.
  • Adhere to safeguarding and compliance requirements when handling Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and operate within federal contract constraints.

Requirements

  • Experience with AWS core services: ECS, EC2, VPC, ALB/NLB, IAM, and S3.
  • Containerization experience including Docker image management and container lifecycle operations.
  • Orchestration experience: ECS preferred; basic exposure to Kubernetes/OpenShift.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Networking fundamentals including subnets, routing, security groups, and NACLs.
  • Monitoring and logging experience (CloudWatch, log aggregation, metrics dashboards).
  • Security fundamentals: IAM roles, least-privilege design, and secrets management.
  • Experience with high availability and scaling concepts (auto-scaling groups, health checks, failover).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability Determination; U.S. citizenship required; occasional travel (<10%) may be required.
