Description

  • Analyze application specifications and design software solutions for ArchivesSpace implementation and configuration.
  • Write code and configure software to implement complex application requirements.
  • Prepare technical documentation, block diagrams, and logic flowcharts.
  • Create sample test data and conduct testing to evaluate software functionality.
  • Analyze test results and troubleshoot issues during development and implementation.
  • Recommend debugging strategies and independently resolve complex software development problems.
  • Support the client with archival management system tasks and related technical execution.
  • Handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) in accordance with safeguarding and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience with ArchivesSpace or other open-source content and metadata management platforms.
  • 2+ years of experience with Java, JRuby, Ruby on Rails, and Solr.
  • 2+ years of experience with MySQL or another relational database.
  • 2+ years of experience with HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Associate degree or 2 additional years of experience.
  • Proficiency with XML, JSON, and EAD markup structures.
  • Experience with Agile methodology.
  • Experience with GitHub or GitLab.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability Determination.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Preferred: Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related scientific or technical discipline.
  • Preferred: Government contracting experience.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Scrum Agile development methodologies.
  • Preferred: Experience creating a custom website presence.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards and Section 508 compliance.
  • Preferred: Experience with IT security.
