Description

  • Develop Angular components and UI features that meet sprint commitments by translating Figma designs into production code using approved Design System components, tokens, and patterns.
  • Build and consume RESTful APIs, collaborating with backend developers on data contracts, request and response structures, and integration points.
  • Write frontend tests, including component, service, and integration tests, to achieve at least 90% branch coverage on new and modified code.
  • Implement accessibility standards in all UI code, including semantic HTML, ARIA attributes, keyboard navigation, and color contrast compliance.
  • Ensure new UI code passes automated accessibility checks such as aXe and pa11y in the CI pipeline before merge.
  • Contribute to the Design System governance process by identifying reusable patterns, proposing new components, and documenting contributions in Figma and Confluence.
  • Build responsive, cross-browser interfaces that work across supported browsers and devices.
  • Complete code reviews within 1 business day and provide substantive feedback on code quality, performance, and coding standards.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies within a SAFe framework, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standup, Sprint Review, Retrospective, and Backlog Refinement.
  • Support production triage by diagnosing frontend issues, implementing fixes, and following standard code review and CI/CD processes.
  • Collaborate with UX designers and federal product owners on design feasibility, story decomposition, and estimation.

Requirements

  • 5 years of applicable experience in frontend web development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or 3 additional years of experience.
  • Proficiency with Angular 12+, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Hands-on experience building component-based single-page applications.
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs from frontend applications, including asynchronous data flows, error states, and loading patterns.
  • Experience implementing designs from Figma or similar design tools into pixel-accurate production code.
  • Experience working with a shared Design System or component library, including reusable UI components, patterns, and tokens.
  • Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and Section 508 compliance.
  • Experience writing frontend unit and integration tests with Jasmine, Karma, Jest, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab CI, and how frontend builds and tests fit into deployment workflows.
  • Familiarity with code quality tools such as SonarQube, including branch coverage requirements and quality gates.
  • Excellent communication skills for status updates, cross-functional collaboration, and technical documentation.
  • Preferred: Experience with federal government contracts, including FAR regulations, ATO processes, and mission-critical or regulatory systems.
  • Preferred: Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Scrum or SAFe environments with 2- to 3-week sprint cycles.
  • Preferred: Experience with Bootstrap or similar CSS frameworks used alongside a custom Design System.
  • Preferred: Experience with automated accessibility tools such as aXe, pa11y, or WAVE integrated into CI workflows.
  • Preferred: Experience with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium for end-to-end frontend testing.
  • Preferred: Experience with responsive design principles and cross-browser testing across modern browsers and devices.
  • Preferred: Experience contributing to Design System governance and coordinating with UX and accessibility teams.
  • Preferred: Background in applications integrating with federated identity providers or federal payment systems.
  • Preferred: Accessibility or UX certification/coursework such as IAAP CPACC or WAS.
