Description

  • Develop Angular components and UI features from Figma designs using approved Design System components, tokens, and patterns.
  • Build and consume RESTful APIs and collaborate with backend developers on data contracts and integration points.
  • Write frontend tests, including component, service, and integration tests, to meet branch coverage requirements.
  • Implement WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 accessibility standards in all UI code.
  • Ensure new UI code passes automated accessibility checks in the CI pipeline before merge.
  • Contribute to Design System governance by identifying reusable patterns, proposing new components, and documenting contributions.
  • Build responsive, cross-browser interfaces that work across supported browsers and devices.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies within a SAFe framework, including planning, standups, reviews, retrospectives, and refinement.
  • Complete code reviews promptly and provide feedback focused on quality, performance, and standards adherence.
  • Support production triage by diagnosing frontend issues, implementing fixes, and following code review and CI/CD processes.
  • Collaborate with UX designers, backend developers, and federal product owners on feasibility, decomposition, and estimation.

Requirements

  • 5 years of applicable experience in frontend web development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or 3 additional years of experience.
  • Proficiency with Angular 12+, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Hands-on experience building component-based single-page applications.
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs from frontend applications.
  • Experience implementing designs from Figma or similar design tools with pixel-accurate results.
  • Experience working with a shared Design System or component library.
  • Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 accessibility standards.
  • Experience writing frontend unit and integration tests using Jasmine, Karma, or Jest.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab CI, and frontend deployment workflows.
  • Familiarity with code quality tools such as SonarQube and branch coverage/quality gate requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills for status updates, cross-functional collaboration, and technical documentation.
  • Preferred: experience with federal government contracts, FAR regulations, ATO processes, or mission-critical/regulatory systems.
  • Preferred: experience with Jira, Confluence, and Scrum or SAFe sprint cycles.
  • Preferred: experience with Bootstrap or similar CSS frameworks alongside a custom Design System.
  • Preferred: experience with automated accessibility scanning tools such as aXe, pa11y, or WAVE in CI workflows.
  • Preferred: experience with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium for end-to-end testing.
  • Preferred: familiarity with responsive design and cross-browser testing.
  • Preferred: experience contributing to Design System governance and documentation.
  • Preferred: experience integrating with federated identity providers or federal payment systems.
  • Preferred: certification or coursework in accessibility, such as IAAP CPACC or WAS, or UX design.
