Description

  • Develop Angular components and UI features to meet sprint commitments.
  • Implement Figma designs using approved Design System components, tokens, and patterns.
  • Build accessible UI code that meets WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 requirements.
  • Ensure automated accessibility checks pass in CI before merge, with zero critical or major findings.
  • Remediate legacy UI accessibility defects and prevent new issues from being introduced.
  • Write frontend tests for components, services, and integrations, maintaining high branch coverage.
  • Review code within 1 business day and provide feedback on code quality, accessibility, and Design System adherence.
  • Collaborate with UX designers, backend developers, accessibility specialists, and federal product owners.
  • Contribute to the Design System governance process by proposing and documenting new components or patterns.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and support production triage and release processes.
  • Maintain clean, well-documented TypeScript and Angular code that passes coding standards and SonarQube quality gates.

Requirements

  • 3 years of applicable experience in frontend web development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or 3 additional years of experience.
  • Proficiency with Angular 12+, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 accessibility standards.
  • Experience implementing accessible UI patterns such as ARIA attributes, semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, focus management, and color contrast.
  • Experience with automated accessibility testing tools such as aXe, pa11y, or WAVE.
  • Experience translating Figma or similar design files into production code.
  • Experience working with a shared Design System or component library.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab CI.
  • Experience writing frontend unit and integration tests using Jasmine, Karma, or Jest.
  • Familiarity with SonarQube, branch coverage requirements, and quality gate enforcement.
  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and technical documentation.
  • Preferred: Experience with federal government contracts, FAR compliance, ATO processes, or mission-critical/regulatory systems.
  • Preferred: DHS Trusted Tester certification or equivalent accessibility credential.
  • Preferred: Manual screen reader testing experience with JAWS or NVDA.
  • Preferred: Experience with Jira, Confluence, Scrum, or SAFe.
  • Preferred: Experience with Bootstrap or similar CSS frameworks.
  • Preferred: Experience consuming RESTful APIs and integrating with microservices-based backends.
  • Preferred: Experience with Playwright or Cypress for end-to-end testing.
  • Preferred: Experience building applications for federal identity providers or federal payment systems.
