Description

  • Own supplier quality and manufacturing engineering activities for battery components and related systems.
  • Support and troubleshoot powertrain or battery component testing, including acceptance test procedures, bench testing, and environmental or stress testing.
  • Ensure supplier development follows AS9145 APQP/PPAP processes, including design verification and process validation.
  • Act as a technical liaison between suppliers and internal teams such as Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Program Management.
  • Support drawing reviews, technical clarifications, and manufacturability assessments during new product introductions and design changes.
  • Evaluate supplier readiness and scalability for prototype, low-rate, and higher-rate manufacturing environments.
  • Support engine hardware qualification, conformity, process validation, and certification-related quality oversight.
  • Manage supplier relationships for complex propulsion or safety-critical components and systems.
  • Use PLM and ERP systems to manage BOMs and maintain serial-number-level traceability across the supply chain.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Supplier Quality or Manufacturing Engineering with a focus on battery components such as cells, modules, packs, or electronics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Proven capability in powertrain or battery component testing, including acceptance test procedures, functional and performance bench testing, and environmental or stress testing.
  • Strong command of AS9145 (APQP/PPAP).
  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, battery systems, or other complex mechanical components is preferred.
  • Experience managing suppliers of engine and powertrain components, including rotating hardware, fuel and lubrication systems, castings, forgings, and other safety-critical propulsion components.
  • Familiarity with powertrain integration, installation, and validation at both component and system levels.
  • Previous experience supporting FAA/EASA Type Certification (TC), including conformity and compliance requirements.
  • Experience evaluating supplier capacity and industrialization scaling from prototype or low-rate production to higher-rate manufacturing.
  • Experience using PLM and ERP systems to manage complex BOMs and serial-level traceability.
  • Work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship, as Archer is unable to provide sponsorship for this position.

  • Base pay range of $104,600 to $135,000.
