Description

  • Serve as the technical liaison between suppliers and internal teams including Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Program Management.
  • Support drawing reviews, technical clarifications, and manufacturability assessments for new product introductions and design changes.
  • Support and troubleshoot powertrain or battery component testing, including acceptance test procedures, bench testing, and environmental or stress testing.
  • Ensure suppliers meet requirements through design verification and process validation under AS9145 APQP/PPAP.
  • Oversee supplier quality for battery components such as cells, modules, packs, and electronics.
  • Evaluate supplier readiness and scalability for prototype, low-rate, and high-rate manufacturing environments.
  • Support powertrain and engine component integration, installation, and validation at both component and system levels.
  • Provide quality oversight related to certification, conformity, and compliance activities for safety-critical hardware.
  • Manage serial-number-level traceability and complex BOMs using PLM and ERP systems.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Supplier Quality or Manufacturing Engineering with a focus on battery components.
  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, battery systems, or complex mechanical components is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Proven capability in testing powertrain or battery components, including acceptance test procedures, functional and performance bench testing, and environmental or stress testing.
  • Strong command of AS9145 (APQP/PPAP).
  • Experience with design verification and process validation for supplier-delivered systems or components.
  • Previous experience supporting FAA/EASA Type Certification (TC) is preferred.
  • Experience managing suppliers of engine and powertrain components, including rotating hardware, fuel and lubrication systems, castings, and forgings, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with PLM and ERP systems for managing complex BOMs and serial-number-level traceability is preferred.
  • Ability to support work in a safety-critical, high-complexity manufacturing environment.

  • Base salary range of $104,600 to $135,000.
