Description

  • Write and refactor code to support on-time delivery of data and product features.
  • Partner with Product, SRE, Data Engineering, and Analytics to deliver solutions for members and enterprise partners.
  • Design and develop robust, scalable backend systems.
  • Build and maintain microservices for monitoring, tracking, and data delivery.
  • Build and maintain observability reports for stakeholders and customers.
  • Deploy new functionality to production through a streamlined CI/CD pipeline.
  • Increase test coverage, improve reliability, and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Collaborate with engineers through code reviews and mentoring junior team members.
  • Explore new technologies and help evaluate ways to improve the platform and developer experience.
  • Scope, prioritize, and deliver on project commitments while balancing speed and quality.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a software engineering role.
  • Experience with Java, Python, TypeScript, and SQL.
  • Experience with MySQL or a similar relational database.
  • Experience with Elasticsearch or a similar NoSQL database.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), AWS, CloudFormation, and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions.
  • Exposure to React or Angular, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, Snowflake with Streamlit, and API programming.
  • Experience building data models, REST services, and working with Postman.
  • Experience working in Agile methodologies is an added advantage.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and solve problems creatively and pragmatically.
  • Comfort managing the tradeoff between shipping quickly and shipping perfect code.
