Description

  • Own and maintain the Human Robot Interaction roadmap, including scope, sequencing, and feature priorities.
  • Ensure robots and interfaces are intuitive and deliver positive experiences for developers and end users.
  • Partner with UX to design multi-modal communication features, including displays, conversational interfaces, and safety features.
  • Prioritize improvements to predictable behaviors and legible intent using robot motion, gaze, and signaling.
  • Work with engineering teams to define HRI systems across both software and hardware.
  • Collaborate with UX Research to validate and refine human-robot interactions before deployment.
  • Develop interaction frameworks that adapt to user expertise, permission levels, robot tasks, environmental context, and task requirements.
  • Define and prioritize use cases based on business impact, feasibility, customer needs, and real-world economic value.
  • Synthesize insights from user research, customer meetings, usage data, and sales feedback into product strategy.
  • Translate product features and requirements into clear documentation, diagrams, and verbal guidance for engineering teams.
  • Support product marketing initiatives, partner relationships, and adoption efforts for Apptronik’s products.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in product management.
  • Strong understanding of interactive or conversational interfaces.
  • Demonstrated experience with human-robot interaction.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in performance tracking and data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including translating technical insights into business impact.
  • Ability to make decisions under uncertainty and prioritize velocity over perfection.
  • Strong user advocacy mindset and a track record of incorporating user feedback into internal decisions.
  • Experience with autonomous robots or autonomous vehicles is preferred.
  • Experience using simulation tools to improve user experience is preferred.
  • Experience designing UX for end users and developer-facing tools is preferred.
  • Experience working with customers in light and heavy duty industrial environments is preferred.
  • Experience with robotics and functional safety standards, including ISO 10218, ISO/TS 15066, ISO 13482, and RIA 15.08, is preferred.
