Description

Develop, maintain, and extend test frameworks and infrastructure for system-level regression and smoke testing.
Develop automated tests and performance test plans, including determining where tests should be written.
Build custom testing applications in Java or Python using tools such as WebDriver, Locust, BrowserStack, Appium, Selenium Grid, and Postman.
Create automation that reduces fragility by isolating coupling to the system under test.
Develop and execute test automation for mobile use cases and offline functionality.
Review code changes to assess cross-codebase impact and ensure best practices are followed.
Break down features into story tickets, identify edge cases and technical risk, and troubleshoot defects to a single module or function.
Distinguish between test errors and application errors during debugging.
Contribute to TAC documents and technical artifacts and engage in healthy debate on technical decisions.
Surface blockers quickly, clarify priorities, and complete work with minimal prompting.

Requirements

Experience developing test automation frameworks and infrastructure.
Experience writing automated tests and performance test plans.
Proficiency in Java or Python.
Hands-on experience with WebDriver, Locust, BrowserStack, Appium, Selenium Grid, and Postman.
Proficiency with IDEs, build processes, Git, Jira, and CI tools.
Working knowledge of at least one Appian subsystem (preferred).
Ability to explain features clearly, including intent, impact, value, and implementation.
Strong understanding of how to isolate defects to a single module or function.
Experience reviewing code and evaluating technical risk.
Ability to work independently with clear prioritization and minimal prompting.
