Description

  • Lead projects through the full software project lifecycle, from definition and design to development and implementation.
  • Work with customers post-sales to build software solutions on the Appian platform.
  • Define and analyze business processes and technical needs with client stakeholders.
  • Develop relational data models and launch them into production.
  • Build APIs and integrations across multiple systems.
  • Partner with Appian Architects and Technical Delivery Managers on implementations.
  • Mentor and lead consultants during fast-paced software delivery engagements.
  • Collaborate with client technical teams and business users throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Identify AI use cases and implement Appian AI capabilities such as RAG, agentic workflows, prompt engineering, and generative models.
  • Drive customer adoption and help clients become self-sufficient in building process applications.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on software development or technical consulting experience.
  • B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% annually.
  • Experience mentoring others and leading teams through post-sale software implementations.
  • Ability to define business processes and gather functional and technical requirements with clients.
  • Strong communication skills and a mindset for continuous learning and problem solving.
  • Experience building products using agile methodologies, including pair programming, stand-ups, planning sessions, and sprints.
  • Basic understanding of object-oriented programming, relational databases, database design/data modeling, and SQL.
  • Experience with software testing practices, including test-driven development and automated test suites in a CI framework.
  • Integration experience with REST, SOAP, JDBC connections, and web services; familiarity with AWS, AI, analytics, machine learning, Google Cloud, application integration, database, developer tools, management & governance, and elastic containers is preferred.
