Description

  • Manage municipal, utility, industrial, and commercial clients’ stormwater planning and compliance efforts for Phase I and II MS4 Permits, CGP, and IGP.
  • Interpret regulatory permits and develop compliance strategies for clients and projects.
  • Prepare technical deliverables including work plans, reports, plans, assessments, and compliance documents.
  • Lead and manage environmental sampling, testing, observations, and field investigations for surface water, stormwater, groundwater, wastewater, soils, and sediments.
  • Conduct construction site and facility environmental compliance inspections, including QSP, QISP, and FOG inspections.
  • Manage project budgets, workload, and delivery for Environmental Scientist staff.
  • Meet with clients to discuss project performance, current work, and future opportunities.
  • Perform data management, analysis, and regulatory and water quality data interpretation.
  • Develop and implement monitoring and reporting plans and field studies.
  • Participate in and lead technical presentations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of professional work experience.
  • Knowledge of stormwater permitting and planning, water quality monitoring, BMPs, and environmental compliance inspections.
  • CPSWQ/CPESC certification.
  • QSD or QSP and QISP certifications.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and analyze plans, technical manuals, and permits.
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid California driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
  • Ability to kneel, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Master’s or PhD in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency with ArcGIS is preferred.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training is preferred.
  • Experience maintaining and calibrating environmental monitoring instruments, meters, probes, and automated sampling equipment is preferred.
